Senior Show-Jumping Qualifier 22nd July at Olney Show Ground
Senior Novice Jumping Team 4th, Melanie Hough and Billy Jo Crowhurst and Sea Gull Anna Thomas Sarah Bell-Scott and White Star Magic, A sunny day, yes a sunny day saw a full senior team attend the summer qualify thanks to Anna Thomas managing to find a horse to ride. The first round saw a tight timing causing several errors, Sarah had one pole, Mel had an unfortunate pole and time penalties, whilst Jo had a stop and time faults. The second round certailnly saw an improved display with everyone jumping clear leaving the team on a total 0f 17 and good enough for 4th place. Following a long break between the two classes allowed plenty of time for us all to become experts on Horse Ball, watch out it may be coming soon?! The equitation saw the same team going forward, still trying to work out what we are supposed to do in this event, but all horses jumped well, no time faults this time, and the team finished 5th in a ver close competition, next year!!

Junior Dreassage Team 1st Novice Chloe Alllen and King Creolee 1st individual Novice Alex Haynes and Barry 4th Individual Prelim Lizzie Whitmarsh and Bud 1st Individual Prelim Megan Bates and Holly 8th Individual.
Despite a last minute venue change to Moreton Morrel due to our summer weather!! The juniors have two riders completing a Novice test and two members riding a prelim test. Chloe started the day (at 08.20) with a lovely smooth test to win the class followed by Alex who coped very well with a rather strong Barry to finish 4th. Our prelim riders Meagn Bates had a late horse change and rode a good test to finish 8th, whilst team debutant Lizzie Whitmarsh rode a very accurate test to win the section.
Junior Riding Test, Team 4th Chloe Allen KIng Creolee 3rd Individual Alex Haynes and Barry Lizzie Whitmarsh on Bud Megan Bates on Holly The riding test produced a new challenge to our junior members especially Alex when Barry decided the next phase is normally quicker!! The team produced good tests with Chloe finishing a very commendable 3rd, and the other riders posting good scores in a section that was very closely marked.
Senior Novice Indivdual Kate Sanders on Dudley (sorry the posh name is to long to type) Individual 5th Made a very good debut for Forest of Arden with a really nice test in a very competitive section.
Senior Open Individual Mel Hough and Billy 9th Elementry and 3rd Medium. Mel and billy continued their consistant dressage performance to post two very good indivdual results.
Another very succesful day was had by all slightly long! but superb sportmanship and standard of riding has been great and wonderful way to qualifyify for the Championships, please come and support the Juniors at the Championships at Lincoln Sunday 8th September.

Junior Team 1st Qualified For National Championships Friday 3rd August Chloe Allen King Creolee Morgan Shelley Megan Bates and Turpin Izzy Harper 1st individual
The juniors started the day with some fantastic dressage scores, show jumping was a very testing course with Morgan Megan and Izzy posting lovely clear rounds with Chloe rolling one pole. The cross country faced a different challenge with rather wet going all members flew round with Meg just picking up a glance off at the skinny. The culmutive score was good enough by some 80marks to win, with Izzy winning her section, Chloe finishing 3rd and Morgan finishing 5th.
Individual Junior Novice Monica Kilminster.
Monica gave an excellant first performance for Forest of Arden with a new pony, with a lovely clear show jumping, a great foundation for the future.
Junior Intermediate Individual Lauren Shelley Bob, 1st Qualified for National Championships.
Lauren had a wonderful day on her debut for Forest of Arden posting her first dressage score under 30, and then followed up with a double clear inside the time to finish on this very good score.
Senior Novice Individuals Anna Thomas and Seymour Sebastian Sarah Bell-Scott and White Star Magic,
Unfortunately no senior novice team this year however both Anna and Sarah competed as individual the going in the dressage was slightly demanding for both horses, finishing mid division. Sarah then went on to Jump a double clear just outside the time finishing 9th in her section Whilst Anna and seymour had slightly different agendas and did not go cross country.
A fabulous day was had by all enjoying even the sun, with everybody working well together and supporting each other was great. If you are available to support our juniors at the Championships Friday 3rd of August at Aston le Walls, it would be great to see you.
Combine Training at Rugby Riding Club
Unfortunately the senior team dissintegrated however, Sarah Bell-Scott and Whitestar MAgic completed the Prelim finishing 7th after jumping clear. Melanie Hough competed in the Open finished 4th after a good dressage score and clear show jumping.

After the snow putting the date back and seperating the junior and senior competition the dressage season kicked off with the juniors leading the way at the Winter Dressage Qualifier and Royal Windsor Qualifier. Chloe winning the Prelim and Alex placed 6th in the Novice. Chloe also took part in the Royal Windsor Qualifier and came 2nd, qualifying for this event at the beginning of May, a superb effort and fantastic to have Forest of Arden being represented at Royal Windsor.
The senior teams stepped forward two weeks later, two teams where entered but once again lame riders and sensitive horses meant one and a half teams started. A very competitive and long day followed with all riders putting a good display for the first outing of the season but jumping is more exciting Team 1 Dianne Owen and Fuegos Fire Michelle Spiers Saltmarsh Camilla Melanie Hough and Billy Sarah Bell-Scott and White Star Magic
Team 2 Jo Nadine and Seagull Sarah Bell-Scott and Opage
Having said that Melanie and Billy managed to keep Forest of Arden name in the presentation and was 4th in the qualifier having been 2nd in the warm up in the class.
